Role: Prilocaine hydrochloride is a local anesthetic of aminoamide type.   Pilocaine is often used in dentistry. Procaine is also often combined with   lidocaine as a preparation for skin anesthesia (lidocaine/procaine or EMLA) for   the treatment of paresthesias and other conditions.

The maximum dosage at one time is 60mg, 0.5% to 1% solution   for infiltration anesthesia; 2%, 3% solution for nerve block anesthesia  and epidural anesthesia. Children should be given medication as   appropriate.

[Pharmacokinetics] After administration, it is quickly absorbed and widely   distributed in the body's organs and tissues. It can enter the fetal circulation  through the placental barrier. After the body is metabolized, the drug is   excreted from the kidneys. Few prototype drugs are excreted through bile and   urine.
[Adverse reactions] Overdose of prilocaine can cause degenerative   hemoglobinemia.
[Precautions] It is strictly forbidden to overdose,   prilocaine anesthesia is forbidden for patients with anemia and degenerative   hemoglobinosis. It is forbidden for congenital or spontaneous patients. It is   forbidden for pregnant women. Pregnant women should be used with caution.
